Oakbank Honey Bee Flower Mix
Several bee-keepers have asked us for a Stewardship-compliant mix containing species favoured by honey bees.
A mix of short- and long-lived species including three different clovers, knapweed, borage, phacelia, selfheal and yarrow should provide an excellent, extended food source for honey bees and other pollinators.
This pollen and nectar flower mix is suitable for both AB1 (Countryside Stewardship) and CAHL1 and AHL1 (SFI) options.
This flower-rich mix is grass-free, so there is less material to cut. It is a good option even for heavier soil types where grasses can become dominant.
