Oakbank Legume Fallow mixes have been designed to help pollinators, deliver invertebrate chick food for farmland birds and encourage natural crop pest predators, as well as fixing nitrogen for better nutrient use efficiency and improving soil health.
- With grass - this option is good for control of blackgrass and other weed species, providing establishment is done correctly.
- Without grass - for fields where blackgrass may not be an issue or where yoiu don't want any grasses in the mix for other reasons.
- NUM3 spring mix - for soils which can be sown in the early spring to ensure plants are flowering by late May. Contains no grasses. Fast growing and flowering species included to reduce the risk of non-compliance.
Mixture specification
- Bag size: 15kg (hectare)
- With grass: contains intermediate perennial ryegrass, cocksfoot, alsike clover, lucerne, crimson clover, red clover, sainfoin and winter vetch
- Without grass: contains crimson clover, hairy vetch, linseed, lucerne, phacelia, red clover and sainfoin
- NUM3 mix: berseem clover, buckwheat, camelina, crimson clover, phacelia, sainfoin and spring vetch
- Seed treatment - Nitragrain Gold inoculant [lucerne]
