Chest Mounted Spreader

The Earthway EV3100 is a superb piece of kit for any farmer or gamekeeper as it gives you the ability to quickly and accurately spread many different products.  The calibration system is very simple but it allows micro adjustments to get both the seed rate and the spread pattern just right for your particular job.  The spreader can be used with seeds, fertiliser, slug pellets, feed grains or pellets and many other products including salt as an Ice-Melt in yards, etc.  The chest harness is very comfortable and allows the user to spread Mustard and other catch crops into standing corn before harvest, without damaging the existing crop.

Micron Accudose Sprayer

This backpack sprayer is ideal for taking out problem weeds such as Docks, Thistles or Ragwort in a restricted area, such as a field margin or Wild Bird Seed Mixture.  It holds a relatively small amount of spray in a convenient backpack that is not too heavy for the user.  The accurate spraygun delivers a measured dose of the chemical in a restricted area so the effect is limited to the target plant.  There is a marker dye available for the spray gun so that the operator can see exactly where the chemical has been put.

Over-Shoulder Grass Seeder

The Earthway 2750 Grass Seeder is an ideal tool for spreading light seeds over a limited area with accuracy.  This product comes with an "Anti-Static" liner to stop the seeds sticking to the sides and it has a simple but effective calibration system to control the flow of seed onto the spinning disc.  It could also be used for spinning Mustard or other Catch Crop seeds, but the Chest Mounted Spreader is probably a better choice for this type of work.

Single Row Precision Seeder

This is a brilliant tool for both keen vegetable gardeners and farmers as it allows areas that cannot be reached with conventional drills to be planted accurately.  The drill is pushed along and the depth of planting is controlled by a simple adjustable tine.  The seed wheels inside are changed according to the type of seed being sown and this determines the distance between the seeds in each row.  The drill also has an Outrigger that can be set to a fixed distance and will mark the position of the next adjacent row. Oakbank have found this to be a perfect tool for planting crops like Canary Grass and Chicory in wide rows and the work rates are suprisingly high.  The ability to plant in wide rows is particularly useful and it can be used in some very inaccessible areas which often suits these perennial crops.
