Wild Game

One of the initial reasons for Ian and Tim to create Oakbank was their shared passion for Wild Game and the Grey Partridge in particular.  We have been fortunate to work with several of the finest Estates in England, helping the gamekeeping teams and farms to create ideal habitat for these magnificent birds. Wild pheasants are also a speciality and we would be delighted to share our ideas and knowledge with other enthusiasts.

The key areas of habitat are: Nesting Cover;  Insect Rich Brood Rearing areas; Winter Feed and Cover

Many of these habitats can now be created using the various options available through Environmental Stewardship and Oakbank have a great deal of experience in this area.  We have helped dozens of farmers with their ELS schemes, making them game friendly but sensible for the farm.  We have also been successful in creating several HLS schemes that have Grey Partridge recovery at their core, but also work well for farmland birds and other HLS target species.

For more information on how we could help you with your project please contact us at the office.
