Trees, Shrubs and Hedgerow plants

Oakbank have helped many clients to provide new areas of hedgerow and woodland as part of a wider habitat plan. Many hedges were replaced or "gapped up" under Environmental Stewardship schemes and the new English Woodland Grant Scheme may encourage more woodland owners to look at this area of work. There is now doubt that woodland needs to be managed in order for it to give the greatest benefit for Game, including managing clearings and using shrubs to create warm holding areas.

We see some excellent examples of practical conservation management during our work, it is very nice to see craftsmen in action.
